We are delighted to announce that TEXO is now an approved partner of the Young Person Guarantee pledge partnership. The Young Person’s Guarantee aims to connect every 16-24-year-old in Scotland to an opportunity – from a job or apprenticeship, to further or higher education, training or volunteering.
With the ever-growing difficulty of recruitment, candidate attraction and skills set, this is a vital programme to help and engage and encourage the new young workforce. We are helping to develop each region’s young workforce, as well as building TEXO for the future by gaining earlier access to future talent.
We recently received our certificate from Scott Cameron from DYW in Dundee.
As part of our work with DYW in Aberdeenshire we recently attended an S5 Induction Day at Westhill academy. Along with many other local businesses we met with the pupils of S5 and we had the opportunity to engage with the pupils so they could find out more about TEXO and the career paths that we offer.
It was important for TEXO to pledge our support for the next generation via the Young Person’s Guarantee because we see it as a chance to make a real impact. We’re proud to be collaborating with schools and academies, not just to inspire the next generation workforce in engineering, but to ignite their passion for diverse career paths. This aligns perfectly with our mission to bridge the skills gap. By working together, we can ensure educational outcomes directly address industry needs, fostering a well-prepared, innovative, and diverse future workforce. It’s more than just education; it’s about nurturing a culture of continuous learning and curiosity – the driving force behind future technological advancements and solutions to global challenges. Investing in young minds empowers them while strengthening the industry’s pipeline for future growth and innovation. This is a commitment to a brighter future for everyone.”
