Nurses’ Rest Area Revamp at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital
The TEXO Foundation is joining forces with The Archie Foundation to create a significantly improved and more supportive rest area for the dedicated nursing staff at the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital. Recognising the tireless efforts and unwavering commitment of these healthcare heroes, this project aims to transform their current outdated and poorly located break space into a comfortable, modern, and truly restorative environment.
The existing space suffers from uncomfortable 1980s furniture, a lack of privacy due to its proximity to an elevator, a poorly defined layout, an uninspiring aesthetic, and a less-than-uplifting colour scheme – the rest area is in need of a comprehensive upgrade.
The TEXO Foundation is committed to creating a sanctuary where nurses can truly recharge and take essential breaks. The planned enhancements have been thoughtfully designed with their wellbeing and practical needs in mind and include:
