North East Drivers Make Supercar Day Sensational!

This year’s Supercar Day in the Shire was the best yet, with more than 40 supercar drivers arriving to create magical memories for families affected by chronic and terminal illness.

The TEXO Foundation supported the event, working closely with organiser Emily Findlay. This year, buzz had been building, and we welcomed more supercars than ever. Early on Sunday the 13th of August, the TEXO HQ car park transformed into a supercar-lot as our kind and generous drivers rolled up to collect their important passengers.

“If you ever wondered why we set up the TEXO Foundation, that moment was the reason,” said Richard Lamb, Director of Workspace Solutions. “Everyone pulled together with one goal – to ensure the kids and families had the best day ever.”

“These drivers came without question to share their vehicles and knowledge with everyone, and cap it off by taking more than 20 kids out to the next stage at the Grampian Transport Museum.”

Drivers, staff members and families shared a generous breakfast donated by McDonald’s in Westhill (two minutes away from TEXO HQ). Then the drivers took their excited passengers in a jaw-dropping convoy to the site for Supercar Day in the Shire.

TEXO is extremely grateful to everyone who worked together to make this day possible. That includes our brilliant staff and supply chain as well as McDonalds and Aberdeen Football Club. It was a fantastic joint effort and all the hard work really paid off – as you can see from the smiles in every picture.

We can’t wait for next year!
