AIR-X Achieves Full ATEX & IECEx Certification

TEXO is pleased to announce that our AIR-X 24kW Packaged Air Conditioning Unit has successfully achieved full third-party certification for use in Zone 1 hazardous environments.

Following completion of the certification programme with CSA Group, AIR-X is now fully certified to both ATEX and IECEx standards, marking a significant milestone in the development of one of the industry’s most advanced portable hazardous area air conditioning systems.

Designed specifically for the world’s most demanding industrial environments, AIR-X provides 24kW of reliable cooling while operating safely within Zone 1 classified areas. Its robust IP66-rated enclosure, global power compatibility and certified operating range from 0°C to 50°C make it ideally suited to offshore platforms, refineries, LNG facilities, chemical processing plants, mining operations and pharmaceutical sites.

Unlike conventional temporary cooling solutions, AIR-X is purpose-built for hazardous locations, allowing it to be deployed directly where cooling is required. The fully self-contained, plug-and-play design minimises installation time while supporting critical operations including shutdowns, turnarounds, maintenance campaigns and emergency response.

Achieving full certification demonstrates TEXO’s commitment to engineering excellence, product safety and delivering innovative solutions that help customers maintain productivity while meeting the highest standards of operational compliance.

With certification now complete, AIR-X is available to support projects where safe, reliable cooling is essential and downtime simply isn’t an option.
