Hive + Co is a hairdressing salon that had used TEXO Workspace Solutions in the past for upgrade work. The salon contacted us because they were finding the existing layout difficult to convert to a Covid-safe environment for staff and customers. In particular, they were discovering that staff and customers couldn’t distance enough in the hairdressing area.
Having assessed the space, we determined that the most cost-effective option was to remove a workstations from each side of the salon. This helped to increase the distance between staff and clients, giving everyone more peace of mind.
We removed and repositioned mirrors to increase space between workstations. All walls and partitions were filled and repainted to create a clean, fresh workspace. We carried out these works during the October break, and the salon is now confident that when it re-opens, it has all the relevant distancing in place.
